    Panzer Regiment 1. This photo was taken on September 1st, 1939. It shows Unteroffizier Hermann Leinweber as commander of his PzKpfw III Ausf.D "242" crossing the Liswarta. Tanks from the 3rd and 4th companies are waiting in the background. "242" was knocked out on 5th September near Piotrkòw.

    This is the platoon leader's tank of the 2nd Platoon of the 2nd Company Panzer Regiment 1. "221" is a PzKpfw III Ausf.E (not D). The commander was Leutnant der Reserve Eduard Bogner. The tank was destroyed near Petrików on September 5, 1939. Bogner then used the PzKpfw III Ausf.A "243" from the 4th platoon.

    This photo was taken on September 19, 1939 on the road near Blonie. In the background a PzKpfw III Ausf.D from Panzer Regiment 1 is passing by. The vehicle with the tactical number "200" belongs to the company commander of the 2nd company, Hauptmann Raimund Hörst, which stands in the turret.

    This is tank "243" of Panzer Regiment 1. The picture was taken on September 8, 1939 in Pabianice. From September 1st to 5th, Unteroffizier Edwin Poltermann was commander of "243", from September 5th, Leutnant der Reserve Eduard Bogner took over command after his own tank "221" was destroyed near Piotrków.
